Selectmen Review Statistical Revaluation Proposal With Assessors

NH MONROE — Monroe selectmen hear plan for statistical revaluation of utilities and residential properties. Utility assessor George Sansoucy and residential assessor Rob Tozier presented the proposal to adjust how the town values utilities and residential properties based on recent sales. Utilities currently represent 70 percent of the town's total valuation and would pay taxes at 100 percent of their value under the plan.
The selectmen also approved routine matters including payroll, accounts payable, and a state police contract.
